Welcome to your CandleMakers Club instruction Hub! Here you'll find step-by-step instructions, tips, and advice to help you create beautiful, fragrant candles every month. Whether you're a beginner, or a hobbyist, these instructions are here to make candle-making simple, fun, and relaxing.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Remove the paper from both sides of the wick sticker. Then, place it in the center of the bottom of the jar.
  2. Place the metal tab on the bottom of the wick onto the wick sticker. Press firmly to make sure it sticks.
  3. Place the tip of the Wick in the center hole of the wick holder. Then slide the wick holder all the way down until it's resting on the rim of the candle jar. Set aside.
  4. Fill a saucepan with water until it's one inch deep. On the stove, heat the water to a simmer.
  5. Pour the wax beads into the melting pot then place the melting pot into the saucepan.
  6. Heat the wax until it's fully melted, stirring frequently to prevent clumping.
  7. Add wax dye (white candles won't need any wax dye). Stir until the wax dye is thoroughly combined.
  8. Use the thermometer to check the temperature of the wax. Remove the melting pot from the saucepan when it reaches 180 °F.
  9. Immediately add the fragrance oil and stir for 30 seconds. Then, allow the wax to cool to 130°F.
  10. Move the jar to a flat surface where it will not be disturbed. Adjust the wick holder to ensure the wick is centered. Then, pour the wax into the jar. Do not move the candle afterward.
  11. Allow the candle to cool for 12 hours. Once the wax is fully set, cut the wick to 1/4 inch.
  12. Enjoy!

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Tunneling: Wax burns down the center leaving edges. Fix by pouring a small amount of extra wax around the edges.

Sinkholes: Wax pulls away from the sides. Fixed by topping off with Melted Wax.

Frosting: White crystals on surface of soy wax are normal. It does not affect scent or burn.

Safety First
